Fell House ...........................Sedbergh, Cumbria
Holiday cottages offering self catering accommodation in Cumbria, England.

Fell House Self-contained but linked accommodation provides a luxurious base for up to 14 people (or more) within a sympathetic conversion of a Victorian grain warehouse. Fell House comprises The House, sleeping up to 8, and The Flat, sleeping a couple or a small family - and suitable for the infirm. There is space for a single car under the arch at the front of the house. Further, safe on-street parking can be found 100 metres up the road at no cost. There is no garden at Fell House. As we want to extend a welcome to allergy sufferers, we would ask you not to smoke anywhere inside Fell House and regret that pets cannot be accommodated.

Fell House can accommodate any party size from 2 to12/14 depending upon the mix of people. For two, or a small family, The Flat is ideal; a group of 4 good friends would also be OK with 2 in the bedroom and 2 on the sofa-bed in the lounge; for 4 to 8, The House alone will be ample, as long as two couples can each share a double bed; for up to 14, you can combine both The House and The Flat (maximising the bed usage in the flat with up to 6 sleeping there) linking the two parts of the property via the central stairwell. If you have an even larger party, the house next door can accommodate a further 4 (this is separately owned, but we would be happy to arrange it for you –the accommodation standards are equal to Fell House).

The Flat. The living area is carpeted and contains a dining table suitable for four people, a sofa-bed and an armchair. There is a television, video and hi-fi for your enjoyment. The ambience is cosy rather than extravagant. The sofa-bed is new for 2002 and offers further flexibility in the sleeping arrangements. The bedroom has built-in cupboards with ample hanging space. It has a futon sofa/bed, and a king-size double bed that can be separated to provide twin beds if preferred.

Fell House is situated within the lovely ancient town of Sedbergh, mid-way between Hawes in the Yorkshire Dales and Windermere in the Lakes.  You only need walk 100 metres up the road, however, and you are at the foot of the Howgill Fells, leading to much good walking country and the famous Cautley Spout waterfall.
