| CREDIT CARD FACILITY AT YOUR CALENDAR AND UKHCO
WEBSITE
The Credit Card facility is an
integral part of the 52-week Availability Calendar Programme enabling visitors
to book online immediately. We use a secure server and state-of-the-art SSL
encryption software to fully protect their credit card information. A secure
credit card facility is essential for online booking, especially for the many
visitors to the site from abroad, and especially for UK visitors making Late
Availability bookings. The Service Fee for online bookings is 10% of the value
of the booking.
You also have the facility to
allow customers to pay pre-arranged deposits and balances on any booking direct
from your UKHCO website. There is a commission of 3.9% on transactions through
this facility which relate to a prior booking through your Calendar. For
transactions relating to bookings from another source the Service Fee is
10%.
BOOKINGS
AND PAYMENT
When a customer makes a
booking online through your Calendar you will receive an automatic e-mail
advising you that a new booking has been submitted and is available to view and
process at your own secure Bookings Manager at your Owners Admin Area. Login
using your unique ID and password, and if the booking is in order you can
confirm it immediately using a pro-forma e-mail which you can edit as required.
Otherwise you can advise the customer why it cannot be confirmed.
So you are in control and
can receive and confirm bookings at any online computer anywhere in the world,
at any time!
We receive a copy of your
confirmation automatically and will immediately process the customer's credit
card and advise you of the status. If authorisation has been received the
amount due to you will be paid in 30 days, directly into your bank account. If
there is a problem with authorisation, we contact the customer to try to
resolve it and will keep you advised.
We charge a Service Fee of 10%
of the total value of the booking which we deduct from the deposit we collect,
with a minimum fee of £10.00 per transaction. You are responsible for the
collection of any balances when due. Should you request your customer to use
the credit card facility at your UKHCO website to pay any balance the
commission is 3.9% of the value of the transaction.
Please note: The
programme operates on an honour system and we do not expect owners to request
payment direct from customers who have booked online through UKHCO and have
submitted their credit card details to us. If that occurs the owner is still
liable for our Service Fee.
Also, should we secure a booking online
which cannot be confirmed because the Availability Calendar has not been
updated to reflect a previous booking from whatever source, we reserve the
right to charge the owner the Service Fee we would have received had the
booking been confirmed.
EXPRESS PAYMENT FACILITY - (OPTIONAL)
As a
security measure our bank witholds payment of authorised transactions for 30
days and so we are obliged also to make payment to our customers 30 days after
the transaction has been authorised. However to assist customers who require
payment immediately we have secured third party commercial funding to enable us
to transfer the amount due to you directly into your bank account immediately
authorisation is received. The charge for the Express Payment Facility is 2% of
the amount collected. If you wish to take advantage of this facility you can
submit your bank details on the secure order form or from your Owners Admin
area.
